Now they are trying to be cute.
Well, so far I have done not too much today. :D
However, I have emailed a professor at Tech about getting some research experience. I have also emailed a professor at UW-Madison about whether or not he is looking for graduate students.
So, yay.
Now I just need to change the damn litter boxes. Shower. Take out the rest of the trash. Take some stuff to Savers. Shop around a bit. Go to Walmart and buy a trashcan and other stuff for camping. Clean shit. Launder shit. Model.
Flower bed update!
Since planting several perennials last year, here is what we have coming up for spring. Catnip, Texas Chaste, and Mexican Featherbush; Lavender; Red Yucca (Check out that sprout!); and that plant…hmm…well, I don’t remember its name, but apparently it also multiplied.
That’s it for now. We are waiting to see if the Yellow Bells aka Esperanza come back. Apparently they sometimes die back to the ground whenever it gets cold. They are late summer bloomers, so we’ll see.
Made my first batch of soap yesterday! It was a very simple recipe for castile soap: needing only lye, water, and olive oil. I left it unscented, because I didn’t take the time to choose a scent, and I thought I would probably use some for the laundry detergent. Total cost? Well, I got some olive oil for $17, prob used $13 of it. Got some lye for $14, prob used $4. PVC was $5. Water…not much. I already had a pot to mix in, other cans to measure out the materials, thermometers, and a stick blender. So. Let’s say something like $18 (yes, I added a $1 for good measure), not including the PVC pipe for a mold. Now we’ll just have to see how many soaps I get. I hope to bring an update sometime tomorrow. I’m guessing 9-14 round bars.
I wonder what to cut them with….
There’s this girl that has a rolly bag for a backpack in my personality class. It’s kind if silly, but I suppose she might have a shoddy back?
Incriminating evidence. Someone did not take their smoothie glass to the sink. Now it will be harder to clean.
As it turns out, I had salmon Monday, pizza on Tuesday, have plans for pasta on Wednesday, Subway on Thursday, and eating out (haha) on Friday.
Now that the dinner menu is all planned, I suppose I should begin thinking about the weekend plans. :)
